Privacy Policy

StyleAI ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the StyleAI mobile application (the "App"), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using StyleAI, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

Photos you provide

To generate AI transformations, you upload photos from your camera or photo library. Photos are sent to our processing servers, transformed by AI, and the transformed result is sent back to your device. We do not retain the original or transformed photos on our servers after processing is complete. Photos are processed in volatile memory and discarded within seconds of completion.

Usage data

We collect anonymous analytics about how you use the App, such as which features you open, how often you generate transformations, and crash reports. This data is collected via Firebase Analytics and is used to improve the product. It is not linked to your identity.

Subscription data

If you purchase a Pro subscription, the transaction is handled by Apple. We receive only the subscription status (active or inactive) via RevenueCat, never your payment details.

Push notification token

If you enable push notifications, an anonymous device token is registered with OneSignal so we can send you product updates. You can revoke this anytime in iOS Settings.

2. How We Use Information

• To deliver AI transformations on the photos you upload.
• To enforce daily usage limits for free users.
• To provide and renew Pro subscriptions.
• To improve the App through anonymized analytics and crash reporting.
• To send optional push notifications you have opted into.

3. Face Data

StyleAI processes face data only as needed to deliver AI hairstyle, makeup, and beauty transformations. Specifically:

What we collect

• Photographs you upload from your camera or photo library that may contain your face. We process the entire image, not isolated face features.
• A boolean signal indicating whether a face is detected in your photo (used only to validate that the photo is suitable for transformation).

What we do not collect

• We do not create, store, or use facial recognition templates or biometric identifiers. We cannot identify you from your photo.
• We do not use face data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than generating the AI result you requested.
• We do not use face data to train AI models.

How it is processed

• Face presence detection: photos are sent to Microsoft Azure Face API (operated by Microsoft Corporation) which returns only a yes/no signal. Microsoft processes the image transiently and does not retain it.
• AI transformation: photos are sent to Replicate Inc. which runs open-source AI models on the image and returns the transformed result. Replicate does not retain user images.

Retention

• On our servers: ZERO. Photos are processed in memory and discarded within seconds. No copies are kept.
• On your device: only the result image you generate is cached locally so you can re-view or save it. You can delete it any time from the in-app gallery.

Sharing

Face data is not sold, rented, or shared with any party other than the AI processing services listed above (Microsoft Azure, Replicate), strictly to fulfill the transformation you requested.

Both Microsoft Azure and Replicate provide privacy protections equal to or greater than those described in this policy. Their respective privacy policies are linked in the "Third-Party Services" section below.

4. Third-Party Services

StyleAI uses the following third-party services. Each operates under its own privacy policy:

• Replicate — runs the AI image generation models on your photos.
• Firebase Analytics & Remote Config (Google) — anonymous usage analytics and feature configuration.
• RevenueCat — subscription state management.
• OneSignal — push notification delivery.
• Google AdMob — advertising for free users (with required consent in applicable regions).
• Supabase — secure proxy infrastructure for AI requests.

5. App Tracking Transparency (iOS)

On iOS, the App may request permission to track activity across other apps and websites for personalized advertising. You may grant or deny this at any time via iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. Denying does not disable the App; it limits ad personalization only.

6. Data Retention

Photos are not retained. Anonymous analytics events are retained per Firebase's default retention. Subscription receipts are retained for as long as your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with tax and audit requirements.

7. Children's Privacy

StyleAI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, and to withdraw consent for processing. To exercise these rights, email us at the address below.

9. International Transfers

Our processing partners are located in the United States and the European Union. By using the App, you consent to your data being transferred to and processed in these regions.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after a change indicates your acceptance.
